Gratitude - Part III

Continuing with my Gratitude Series...

#5 - Morning Sky - I have seen a lot of this lately... Sunrise!

#6 - Books - This is Gabe's library! I love children's books, and can't wait to start reading him each of these! Although the collection is not huge yet, there are some goodies! Some of these are old, some are new, some are silly, and some are sentimental. And then there is one that teaches him some very important stuff ;)

Important Stuff

#7 - Something Funny - Odin and Bella...they never cease to amuse me. Noah and I often wonder what our lives would be like without our furry babies. Luckily, they have adjusted rather well to the new addition to the family. For the most part they have ignored Gabe's existence, but every once in a while I catch them investigating this new bald kitty...

#8 - Favorite Color - Ummmm....

I have no one single favorite color. I have favorite colors to wear (blue and brown) favorite colors for the kitchen (green, red, and yellow) favorite colors to cheer for (cardinal and gold) and then colors that look pretty together... like these:

#9 - Inspiring Person - My Mom - Now that I am a Mom, it has made me realize how great of a mom I have! She rocks! I hope that I can raise my children as well as she did us... I mean, come on, we are pretty awesome! Love you Mom :) 

#10 - Nature - The Farm - I haven't been there to visit for a while, but I love the farm. I have sooooo many memories playing around in the timber, the culvert down the gravel road, the dirt road, the corn fields and pastures. I can't wait for Gabe to be old enough to start wandering the farm and making memories of his own!

Oh BABY!!

Baby Boom 2012 is complete! Wednesday evening Scott and Tina welcomed Baby McKenna Rae into the world!! She was 8 lbs. 14 ounces,  21 inches long and beautiful! Everyone is doing great!

I'm not really joking when I say there has been a baby boom this year. In the last 4 months, there have been 5 additions to our family! We have been truly blessed with healthy pregnancies and babies. I thought we would go back through the line-up starting with the newest bundle of joy..

Littlest Cyclone!

On Saturday, Gabe went to his first Cyclone Football Game! Start 'em Early, Raise 'em Right :)

We have went to Ames to tailgate a few times this season, but never attempted to go to the game before. It was a lot of fun and he was a great fan...well he was great for Mama. He slept through the whole game, so I'm not sure how good of a "fan" that makes him. Although our Cyclones didn't get the win, we were blessed with AmAZiNg weather for the game and a great day for Gabe!

Like I said earlier, we had tailgated for a few games earlier in the season. Here are some leftover pictures from some of those earlier days. We love our Cyclones!

Gratitude - Part II

#3 - Happiness - My little Family! When I think of the word happiness, this is what comes to my mind! I have been blessed with a wonderful and loving husband, and a perfect little boy! They are my happiness!

#4 - Leaves - As many of you know, I absolutely love Fall. It definitely is my favorite season for many reasons, and one of the main reasons is the beautiful fall colors in the trees. Unfortunately,  our home is in a new neighborhood of town meaning this is what the street outside our house looks like : 

Not exactly an abundance of fall foliage ... However, this is what you see from the back of our house:

We live on the very edge of town, which backs up to some older farm homes, and TREES! Although the leaves are mostly gone now, a few weeks ago it was quite beautiful when you looked out our back door! Planting our own trees is on our to-do list, but until then I am thankful for the wonderful view we have to enjoy!

Gratitude

Happy November! With so much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving season, I thought I would take part in the 30 Day "Gratitude" photo challenge!  It's the little things in life that make each day special, and it will be great to take a moment each day show some of my life's many blessings! Enjoy!

#1 - Favorite Food - (Decaf) Pumpkin Spice Coffee. I can't afford Starbucks every day, so I'm very thankful that Coffee Mate has seasonal flavors of creamer! And although it is decaf, it helps this mama feel a little more awake in the morning... it's all mental, but I'm ok with that :) Pair my coffee with a trail mix bar, and my morning is set! I must admit that this is not exactly my "favorite" food, but it makes my life happier, so I think it fits :)

#2 - Smile - GABE! Ok, ok, I know that this is not a picture of a smile, mostly because he hasn't truly smiled yet, BUT we are working on it! He is really close (I think) so I'm thankful for my little bundle that makes me do really weird smiles in hopes I can get one out of him :)

Happy Halloween!

We had a great 1st Halloween! Tuesday night was Trick or Treating night in Ankeny, and although we didn't go out, we had fun handing out candy. I had a very helpful skeleton wishing all the kids a spooktacular Halloween! 

We had some very cute Witches come and visit! It was fun to see them in costume and steal some of their candy :)
