Rub a Dub Dub

Gabe absolutely loves bath time! It has become part of our nighttime routine, and can bring smiles to even the crabbiest little boy.  Bath time is also daddy time. Except now that we switched from regular lotion to Aquafor, which is pretty much vaseline, I have had to help out. Apparently someone hates the feel of "slimy" stuff on his hands. Or thats a good excuse....

Belated Christmas!

Last weekend we had the chance to get together with Great Grandpa Don and LoAnne to celebrate Schmelzer Christmas. Timing just didn't work to get together in December, plus this way we got to spread out the Christmas cheer!

So Handsome :)

I just can't help but laugh at this view...

Where'd the little photos go? ------>

Sorry, but I had to get rid of the Instagram feed on the side. I started to have some strangers following my photos so I had to up the privacy, which means I can't have it connected to the blog. BUT I will try and put the photos straight to the blog each week. Maybe it will be Instagram Friday or Thursday or whatever day I remember to post them :) Here's post #1

Growing Boy!

Gabe is 16 weeks today! He continues to change each and every day! His newest thing is rolling from his tummy to his back, but only when he doesn't get caught up with chewing on his hand, which is also a new hobby. He loves to smile and coo and even holler every now and then!

We are also working on being "responsible" with our hands... as you can see he tends to cut his face. He is getting better, but we still have to put mittens on him when he really gets the arms going :)

New Year!

Ahh, New Years. That special time when we all start fresh with lots of potential for the next 365 (358 as of today) sunrises.

I'm not the type to get to overly excited about resolutions but after reading the Pioneer woman's plan for the new year, I decided it might be worth a try!

Pioneer Woman used the word "resolution" as her guide, but I thought I would switch it up and use "new year" mostly because she used all the good ones... Here we go!

N- Nuzzle my boys :)
E- Enjoy the little moments. Like my baby sleeping on my lap after a long day at work, or time with the hubs watching our tv shows. Those are good moments I shouldn't waste!
W- Worry less. It's not that I'm a huge worrier, I actually pride myself on being very rational, but I do tend to do what I would call "procrastinative" worrying. I can be very logical and reasonable for a long while then all of a sudden FREAK. OUT. I want to do less of that!

Y- Yardwork. Big plans for the yard this Spring- garden, shed, flowers, trees, bushes- lots to do!
E- Excercise. I feel like it has to be on the list somewhere. We purchased a REALLY nice treadmill last fall (perk of the hubs working for Scheels) and I am going to use it! Someday.
A- Attack the clutter! Especially the table by the door we so fondly refer to as the Crap Collector.
R- Reduce, Reuse, Recycle (you know the song!) I'll start with mastering our cloth diapering - so far so good! Overall, I just want to be more green, and maybe save some green in the process!

A few more from Nana and Papa's

After Christmas we spent a few more days at the farm causing chaos in Nana and Papa's quiet life! It is crazy having three babies 5 months and younger, plus a 4 and 8 year old in one house- but the best kind of crazy! Just wait a few more years... ha!
