Merry Christmas!

We had a wonderful Christmas and have a lot to be thankful for this year. We were able to spend time with family and celebrate the birth of Christ! We spent Christmas Eve in Muscatine with Noah's parents, Christmas morning in Princeton at Noah's grandparents, and Christmas day and evening at my parents in Belle Plaine.

Noah and his flight suit?!? I guess he'll be ready for Halloween!

THE iPad...Super fun :)

One of my gifts from Noah were some very sparkly earings! I am a lucky girl!

My new ISU jacket.

We got the Schmelzer's a Little Buddy Heater. They are all ready for cold weather tailgating now!

BACON! BACON! BACON! I think 18 lbs was eaten this year :)

I guess we all have Santa fooled!

Mom and her fancy coffee maker.

Ellie and Cecilia opening gifts!

The Cronbaugh cousins came out for some fun in the evening. Here's Jenny attempting Noah's brainteaser. She finished it way faster than he did :)

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas!

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

The Schmelzer's are ready for Christmas! Although I didn't get all of my DIY Christmas projects done this year, there is still plenty of holiday spirit around our house. Here's a quick glimpse at "Christmas at the Schmelzer's 2011!"

I found these Odin and Bella ornaments while in Missouri visiting Grandma Sue. I think they are hilarious!!

Odin does not.

Here's Noah helping with the decorating. HA! So happy to have his picture taken! Merry Christmas!

I Love Smiling. Smiling's my Favorite :)

CHRISTMAS BREAK!!!Yay!!!

I know not everyone gets to have an extended vacation from work during the holidays, but boy am I excited that I do! I can't believe the first semester is over...it has definitely been a busy one. Between coaching JH Volleyball, HS Basketball, and teaching, the last few months have flown by.

We did have a little fun at school before break. There was an ugly sweater contest (sorry, forgot my camera) lots and lots of potlucks, games, and decor. My study hall class helped me decorate my door and we WON! Woohoo! Best door ever :)

Elf may or may not be one of my favorite Christmas movies ;)

'Tis the Season!

We got a head start on our Christmas celebration this weekend with a trip to Muscatine. We spent the weekend with Noah's family, enjoying some delicious chili, an impromptu pizza party, and lots of delicious desserts! It was a great start to the Holiday season!

Happy Holidays!

CYCLONE POWER!

Last night was an EXCITING one! Our beloved Cyclones took on No. 2 ranked Oklahoma State in Ames. In the words of Noah, "We looked them in the eye, and punched them in the mouth." We shocked the nation, and beat the then unbeaten Cowboys in double overtime. Here are a few of the highlights to remember the victory!

Adventures of the Schmelzer's

The month of October, and part of November, has disappeared quickly. Noah and I have been quite busy. Here's a quick look at what we have been up to...

10/14/11- We spent a little time at Mom and Dads...Cece and Noah had some quality nap time :)

10/15/11- Took a trip back to Rockford to attend Mr. and Mrs. Behn's wedding! It was great to catch up with some former Bago teachers!

10/22/11- We then celebrated the wedding of Mr. and Mrs. Cooney. I can't believe Toddler is married!! It was a great day and we had a blast. Noah did a great job on his Best Man duties and speech, but not a great job at picking out socks...haha!

10/30/11- We spent a long weekend down in Missouri visiting Grandma Sue and George. It was great to catch up with them and visit their home. We also got a free tent at the local grocery store! SCORE!

10/31/11- We had a very cute kitty cat and fairy visit us for Halloween! They had also decorated our house while we were gone. They left "tricks" everywhere, but no treats! Funny how that works...

11/5/11- There were also a few Iowa State victories in the past few weeks! We held our annual "Thanksgiving" Tailgate last weekend and cheered on our Cyclones!

Happy Fall!
