Catch up...

I'm playing a little catch up here. I'll blame Gabe for the lack of blogging (you can't be mad at the baby!) He is everywhere these days leaving mama no "sit leisurely at the computer" time!! Plus there is a basement redo in the works. Get excited for that upcoming post! Oooops. Spoiler alert!

Ok, let's re-cap. Deep breath. GO!

A few weeks ago we headed down to Missouri to visit Grandma Sue and George. Grandma was in the midst of moving, we luckily happened to missed out on the heavy lifting :) Her new place is looking awesome! That lady has an eye for decorating!

It was great to see everyone and catch up. Gabe got to meet his cousins George and Maggie, and had some good cuddle time with the Grandmas. He loved Great Grandma's long hallway and wood floors that he could scoot around to his little hearts content!

When we got back, it was State fair time! Although we never actually made it into the fair, Gabers and I did head down to the camp grounds to see the family for a night! Gabe had fun playing with the baby gang and practicing his air guitar with his cousin Haley :)

And in the meantime Gabe has been up to his usual silliness. Like I said, he is all over the place these days. Here's a photo tour of some of his shenanigans...Enjoy!

Reiman Gardens

This summer has been strange.

 

I keep waiting for it to be "summer".

 

Where are the 102 degree weeks? Those "dog days" as they call them?

 

I know, I know. I shouldn't complain. Weather has been pretty darn nice. It just seems strange...

 

Especially when you are about to make a blog post about spending a summer's day at Reiman Gardens and everyone is wearing sweatshirts...

 

Strange.

 

But it was a pretty beautiful day to spend in the gardens with the fam!

Animal Adventure!

A few weeks ago, Grandma and Grandpa Schmelzer took us all on an animal adventure! In between house projects, we headed over to Des Moines to enjoy the Blank Park Zoo. We had a lot of fun looking at all the critters!

 

The Wallabies were a favorite. Sooo funny :)
