Lake Time

This year we were planning to spend some good quality time up at Lake Roosevelt at Grandpa Don and LoAnn's beautiful cabin. Unfortunately, Mother Nature has had other plans in mind. While here in Iowa we are doing rain dances in the midst of record high heat and low rainfall, the lake up north is flooded. Grandpa's dock is underwater and didn't think visiting now would be such a great idea. So we delayed our plans...

But, we still wanted to get away. I have spent too much time at home, and Noah was ready to get some sunshine! We decided that we would go with his parents to visit the much talked about Lake Okoboji. We had a great time relaxing and taking in some water and sun. It wasn't quite like being at the cabin in MN but was a fun few days!

Happy 4th!

We had a great fourth of July celebrating with family! Again, this year, Craig and Meghan (Noah's Cousin) invited the crew to their home for a day of sun, food, laughter, and of course, water! Their pool made the 100 degree weather tolerable and a ton of fun.

Happy Independence Day!

They have quite the set-up... Far left-  large fan and air mister. Middle- Food table, large cooler, stereo. Far right- TV showing US Olympic Trials!

Hello Third Trimester!

Baby and I are loving summer vaca and have officially entered the third trimester! Noah and I have been very busy working away to prepare for our little monster. We still have some things on the To-Do list but are definitely getting ready for baby!

Buh Bye Boring Brown...
Hello Baby Blue!
(Not happy with me...Hehe)
My help did an amazing job!

While Noah painted, I was able to work on sewing Baby's quilt! I'm very happy with how it turned out, although I don't believe quilting will become a hobby in the future!

Grandma and Grandpa Schmelzer :) gave Baby his crib as a gift!
Ready for Baby Boy!!
