We have some very exciting news..
I will give a few hints...
The surprise won't be here for a few months....
It gives me a wonderful excuse to eat cheetos for lunch and have Hershey kisses after every meal...
And to take naps...a lot!
And buy new clothes :)
Drum-roll Please....
We are EXPECTING a BABY!!! .....But it could be a velociraptor :) Hehe!
Expected arrival: September, 2012!
Mid January, I had a suspicions that something was going on. I just didn't feel like myself - I was incredibly tired and my stomach was a little off. I let Noah in on my suspicions, and we decided to wait a few days until the weekend to test our theory. Well, our Friday night excitement included a nervous trip to the toilet...hehe!
There were a few tears (and some holy craps) but we are very excited to start this journey.... (baby's first basketball game was the next afternoon, a Cyclone victory over Kansas!)
January 31 - I am about 6 weeks along right now and have felt fairly good. I have been tired, and a little nauseous during the day - and any time I step on a bus (thank goodness basketball is about over) but overall I feel good! Hopefully things stay this way.
February 8 - 7 weeks - Today we shared the news with our parents! Everyone is very excited :) It was a fun day!
February 15 - I am into my 8th week! Our little Raptor is about the size of a raspberry (so I'm told) And apparently he wants to make his presence known. After weeks of nausea - but that's about it - I got sick :( Then about 2 hours later, I had a bloody nose. Not a fun morning. I was at school, so I frantically conferred with google to make sure nose bleeds were "ok" during pregnancy. In the mean time, my poor little 7th graders who were sitting in class, probably thought I was loosing my mind as I was holding the tissue to my face and typing, and telling them they can talk amongst themselves for a while...hahaha!
March 13 - 12 weeks! Today we had the wonderful experience of hearing the baby's heartbeat. It was a little nerve wracking because it seemed to take the doc quite a while to locate our little monster, but eventually there it was - a quick little beating. Our doctor said it was fast, and sounded really good!! Noah brought home the baby's first gift :) No matter if we're decorating in blue or pink...they will be wearing red :)
April 1 - 15 weeks! Still feeling good. having some headaches... but they come and go. I'm starting to see a little bit of a baby bump that isn't just because I ate too much :) Take a look!
